A broccoli product sold at Walmart in Michigan was under recall. Now the FDA says the product may be considered deadly. Here's what to know.

In a Jan. 27 reclassification, the FDA put the California-based Braga Fresh broccoli florets in its Class 1 level, in which there is a “reasonable probability” that use or exposure to the product can be potentially deadly, according to the FDA website.

Broccoli florets Walmart stores in 20 states have been under a recall since late last year. The FDA now has updated its recall notice for Marketside Broccoli Florets to Class I, meaning the product could be potentially deadly.
