Noah Lyles came up just short in the 100-meter at the Silesia Diamond League in Silesia, Poland, on Saturday. Per The Athletic's Liam Tharme, Lyles placed second behind Jamaica's Kishane Thompson, who missed barely gold in a photo finish against Lyles at the Paris Olympics last summer.

This time, Kishane Thompson held off Noah Lyles. Thompson beat Lyles — 9.87 seconds to 9.90 — on Saturday in their first race together since Lyles overtook Thompson for Olympic 100m gold by five thousandths of a second.
