President Donald Trump faced backlash from musician Kenny Loggins over unauthorized use of 'Danger Zone' in controversial AI meme about protesters.
The singer complained this week after his 1988 Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit was used without permission in a trolling video by the president.
Kenny Loggins isn’t pleased that President Donald Trump used one of his songs in an AI-generated video. The two-time Grammy winner has demanded that Trump remove his 1986 hit “Danger Zone” from a “No Kings” video the president posted to Truth Social on Saturday, Oct. 18.
I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us," the singer wrote.
On Saturday, Trump posted what appeared to be an AI-generated video of him flying a fighter jet over the United States while dumping feces on “No Kings Day” protesters. The video—which has sparked widespread backlash —also features Loggins’ “Danger Zone” from the 1986 blockbuster “Top Gun.”
