Whiskey Riff reported that Johnson was charged under a Tennessee code that states that “possession of between half an ounce to 10 pounds of marijuana is a Class E felony punishable by up to one to six years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine. The site said Johnson is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 6, 2025 at 1 p.m.

The “Midnight Gasoline” singer, who recently dropped his first album in years, was reportedly stopped in Williamson County on Nov. 17. Things escalated when officers allege that they discovered drugs in his possession. Johnson was arrested and hit with charges for both offenses.
