An official at the conference told HBCU Legends, "We're looking into it." According to Kyle Bonagura from ESPN, Jackson State University (JSU) players informed a player from the Golden Lions that they were in the JSU team facility watching practice film.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Southwestern Athletic Conference and Jackson State Athletics have both released a statement regarding JSU football allegedly stealing practice film from the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The allegations against JSU reportedly came to light on Oct. 31, two days before the game. Jackson State defeated Arkansas Pine-Bluff 41-3.

A UAPB player informed the coaching staff that he was told by a Jackson State player that Tigers defensive players were in their team facility watching practice film of UAPB ahead of their matchup earlier this month,

Jackson State player mentioned Tigers’ defensive personnel were watching UAPB practice footage in their team facility. Alarmed by the claim, UAPB head coach Alonzo Hampton reviewed the team's video-sharing software and discovered that practice film had been accessed by the account of a former walk-on who was cut from the team in the spring.

Jackson State crushed Arkansas-Pine Bluff 41–3 at home—seemingly clearing another hurdle on its way to a SWAC East division title. However, allegations have emerged that the victory may not have been what it seemed.

The SWAC is looking into allegations that Jackson State football received access to Arkansas-Pine Bluff practice film before the two teams played.
