For starters, a strong cold front is expected to move across the area, according to NWS Melbourne. The front could bring gusty showers and a strong storm or two. Temperatures will be in the high-70s, low-80s across Central Florida. Gusty winds between 20-30 mph are also in the forecast, according to NWS Melbourne.

Wind advisories are in effect because gusty winds return after the rain moves out. Gusts reach as high as 40mph in the Roanoke Valley this afternoon and into the night. Areas along the Blue Ridge, NRV, and Highlands could see winds closer to 50mph.
