Denver Broncos LB Jonathon Cooper is unimpressed with New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart, his swagger, and his "chain."
On defense, the Giants have cornerback Art Green (2023) and newly-signed practice squad linebacker Jonas Griffith (2021-2023), who joined New York earlier this week after spending last season recovering from a second knee surgery. On special teams, the Giants employ long snapper Casey Kreiter (2016-2019).
Dart, for his part, offered respect for the Broncos' defense, which leads the league in sacks. He acknowledged the magnitude of the challenge that defense will pose when the Giants try to end the Broncos’ seven-game home winning streak on Sunday.
The Giants will see a familiar face across the field when they travel to Denver for their Week 7 matchup against the Broncos. There on the opposing sideline will be former Giants backup quarterback Davis Webb, who is in his third season as Broncos quarterbacks coach. And he’ll see the first QB he worked with after becoming a coach: Russell Wilson.
The Broncos will induct the late Demaryius Thomas into their Ring of Fame this weekend, and the Super Bowl 50 team will be recognized on Sunday.
If there’s nothing else that New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart needs to learn from having watched tape of the Denver Broncos defense, it’s that it would behoove him to not hold onto the ball indefinitely. This season, the Broncos have been absolutely relentless, not to mention successful when rushing a passer who holds onto the ball.
If Brian Daboll can ride the positive energy from the last few weeks and get the Giants to overcome the Broncos this weekend, the rest of the league may need to start taking them seriously.
