Piastri heads both practice sessions at Formula 1's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, as Isack Hadjar's off causes a red flag

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were beaten by a shock F1 star during FP1 at the Imola Grand Prix, as a late crash ended the session prematurely. The two McLaren s were once again on top in Emilia Romagna, whilst Carlos Sainz set the third fastest time at Imola ahead of both Hamilton and Verstappen.

The first day of track action for the Emilia-Romagna e del Made in Italy Grand Prix saw McLaren shine once again. In both free practice sessions, Oscar Piastri led Lando Norris at the top of the time sheets.
