NFL players will be able to participate in flag football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles if other procedural steps are completed.

As soon as NFL owners unanimously approved allowing players try out for Olympic flag football when it debuts at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, hypothetical rosters full of the game's brightest stars started popping up.

Flag football at the 2028 Olympics could be best answer the NFL has ever had to motivate the entire world to pick up a football. But will the league allow its players to compete?

The Austin ISD is one of 11 Texas school districts to have a flag football tournament for all its members. Perhaps it will be a UIL sport someday.
