Texas-born actress Eva Longoria has joined the growing list of celebrities who have turned their backs on the U.S. and relocated abroad in the wake of Donald Trump‘s election win, revealing in a new interview that she is “done” with life in “dystopian” America and is now based full-time between Spain and Mexico.

Eva Longoria, who recently revealed she no longer lives in the U.S. full-time, is clarifying the reason behind the move.

Eva Longoria explained in a recent podcast conversation with Ana Navarro that President-elect Donald Trump and the recent election did not prompt her move abroad. She clarified she's been living between Spain and Mexico with her husband José Bastón and their 6-year-old son Santiago for the last few years.

After revealing she splits her time between Spain and Mexico City, Eva Longoria clarified that the move was because of work, not Donald Trump's win.

"I didn't leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there," the actress explained, following her previous comments about leaving "this dystopian country."
