The Broncos activated second-year linebacker Drew Sanders from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday. Sanders has been on the PUP list since he tore an Achilles tendon during the early part of Denver’s offseason workout program last spring.

The Denver Broncos have activated linebacker Drew Sanders from the physically unable perform list to the 53-man roster, according to a report from KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Sanders (6-4, 233 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft out of Arkansas.

Linebacker Drew Sanders is back on the 53-man roster in Denver. The Broncos announced that Sanders was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday. The 2023 third-round pick has spent the entire season recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered this offseason.

Sanders played at Alabama in the 2020 and 2021 seasons before transferring to Arkansas for 2022 and joining the Broncos in 2023 as the 67th selection in the NFL Draft. As a rookie, Sanders played in all 17 of Denver’s games, with four starts. Those starts came at inside linebacker because of injury issues at that position.

Sanders was Broncos' third-round pick last year who suffered Achilles tear in spring. Dulcich was waived Tuesday by Broncos. Broncos also cut Throckmorton.
