A man with a bloody nose was ushered away by organizers of the No Kings rally at Clark Park in southwest Detroit.

Detroit's rally, which was one of close to 2,000 held across the United States, was a show of unity and defiance, organizers say.

A number of "No Kings" rallies are planned for Saturday, with an emphasis on a nonviolent response to President Trump's administration. Among the rallies planned are a number in the Detroit area and throughout Michigan.

Detroit Lakes was one of nearly 2,000 locations participating in a nationwide protest against the Trump administration on Saturday, June 14.

Those millions included an estimated 200,000 people in Los Angeles, 100,000 in Philadelphia, 70,000 in Seattle and over 50,000 in New York.

The Lansing rally was scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. at the Michigan Capitol, with speeches, conversations with politicians, games, and more.
