With Iga Swiatek by his side in the 2025 US Open mixed doubles, Casper Ruud etched his name into ATP history. The Norwegian is now the only active male player to reach the quarterfinals of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles at a Grand Slam event.
Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper both discovered their first-round opponents for this year’s instalment of the US Open. The tournament is the calendar year’s final Grand Slam event, held at Flushing Meadows in New York, New York.
U.S. Open tournament director Stacey Allaster told NJ Advance Media that the tournament will “evaluate the reimagined mixed, gather player feedback and then make decisions” for 2026. But McEnroe and his ESPN colleague Mary Joe Fernandez believe it was a huge success that will be replicated in New York and at other majors.
