More than 1,500 events are planned throughout the U.S. to send a loud message to President Donald Trump: “In America, we don’t do kings.”

A protest will take place at the West steps of the California Capitol as part of the "No Kings" movement, which is taking place throughout the state and the U.S.

Nationwide non-partisan No Kings protests on Flag Day follow chaotic demonstrations in Los Angeles over the immigration enforcement actions. Protester numbers grew and tempers heated, with some clashing with law enforcement, after Trump mobilized the California National Guard and the U.S. Marines.

The nationwide “No Kings” protest is scheduled for Anaheim’s La Palma Park at 4 p.m. today following a series of rolling protests against ICE sweeps throughout OC this week – especially in Santa Ana.

The protest comes before leaders vote on whether or not to pass a budget that is expected to lock new undocumented immigrants out of Medi-Cal.
