Bryce Harper is optimistic about returning to the Philadelphia Phillies' lineup as he continues to recover ahead of schedule from right wrist inflammation.

Harper tested his sore right wrist Friday by hitting on the field before batting practice. He’s scheduled to face live pitching on Saturday.

Bryce Harper hasn't played since June 5 after he elected to go on the injured list for right wrist inflammation. At the time, he landed just on the 10-day IL, but that stint has turned into over 20 days at this point.
