Audio Events on LinkedIn will soon be no more. In an update published this week, LinkedIn announced that it would be combining Audio Events with LinkedIn Live, effectively shutting down the audio-only streaming feature.

LinkedIn users can still create audio-only streaming events via LinkedIn Live, but they will need to use third-party services to do so.

Users will no longer be able to create new LinkedIn Audio Events streams from December 2 Streams scheduled up until December 31 will continue to be supported LinkedIn Live takes its place in a product simplification effort LinkedIn has confirmed it will be discontinuing Audio Events,

LinkedIn isn’t the only company to change course on live audio. Reddit, Facebook, Spotify and Amazon have all shuttered their pandemic-era live audio products.Even Clubhouse (which, yes, still exists) pivoted away from the format last year. The feature is, however going strong on X despite a few high-profile technical issues.
