A two-minute silence for Armistice Day has been disrupted by a protester. The woman shouted shortly after 11:00 GMT at Forbury Gardens in Reading, seemingly about the conflict in Gaza. A video filmed by a BBC crew shows her holding a placard that a man wrestled out of her hands before she addressed the crowd.

People from across the borough observed a two-minute silence to mark Armistice Day outside Blackburn Town Hall. Services commemorating Remembrance Sunday were held over the weekend in Blackburn and Darwen to remember those in our armed forces who have fallen in past and current wars.

Events have taken place across the West of England to mark Armistice Day. Offices, schools and supermarkets observed a two-minute silence at 11:00 GMT to mark the time and date when the World War One armistice came into effect.
