American Airlines suffered a computer system outage which affected flights and airports nationwide on Friday, June 27, CNN and 'The New York Times' reported.

Multiple people were taken to the hospital after experiencing turbulence on an American Airlines flight heading to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Three flight attendants and two customers were aboard American Airlines Flight 1286, which departed from Miami International Airport on Sunday, June 22.

Several flights were delayed by American Airlines today amid a technology issue impacting its flight information system.
