Thousands of jubilant fans crowd the streets for riotous celebrations to see the team parade the Scottish Cup.
Brendan Rodgers' men were within touching distance of a domestic clean sweep after Alfie Dorrington's own goal - but goalkeeper and Kasper Schmeichel blundered to put the ball into his own net and take the game to extra time. The Danish goalkeeper was given a tough review in the world media for his sin that denied the Scottish champions the cup.
The Lord Provost said: “The Dons supporters created a fantastic atmosphere as the bus slowly made its way through the city centre – the streets were turned into a sea of red and white. “The fans were singing and playing drums and, along with the pipe band, made the event into something very special for everyone.
Aberdeen legend Willie Miller: "It's brilliant goalkeeping isn't it, from him. He's got a huge stretch, Mitov. He's a tall figure and if he guesses the right way and you're hitting it low then it's going to be really difficult for that to end in the back of the net.
Jimmy Thelin admitted he was stunned how Aberdeen turned into a sea of red and white. Thousands of fans took to the streets of the Granite City to salute the 2025 Scottish Cup winners. Thelin had imagined the day but even he was blown away with the number of fans who had come to pay tribute to their heroes.
