A Georgia Powerball player was one number shy of the estimated $309 million jackpot — but still netted a life-changing prize. The lucky player won $1 million after matching five white ball numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, July 21, per the Georgia Lottery’s website.

FRISCO, Texas - A Frisco resident has claimed a $2 million Powerball prize from the drawing on July 9. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the second-tier winning ticket at Walmart Supercenter #5866, located at 8555 Preston Road in Frisco.
