The sole survivor of the Air India plane crash said that he climbed out of a broken emergency exit after the aircraft hit a medical college hostel in the city of Ahmedabad, killing more than 240 people.

Vishwashkumar, who was sitting in seat 11a on the Air India flight, is receiving treatment at Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, where he has been visited by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also attended the bedside of locals who were not onboard the plane but were struck and injured by the crash.

An early focus of the probe includes a possible loss or reduction of thrust.

Investors are looking for answers regarding the Air India Boeing 787 that crashed Thursday, killing more than 240 people.
