This is a great stop along I-80. You could pay to visit the museum portion, or do as we did, and simply enjoy the space. They were a few minutes from closing when we stopped, so we quickly went throu… Full review by MemoryMaker5

Questions & answers

Q:
Can you overnight park here?
A:
I would doubt the parking lot is big enough to allow that but there is lots of campgrounds nearby. I would call and ask if that is the only way you can see it as it sure is worthwhile.
Q:
How much time would you suggest I allow for a stop here? I will be traveling with a 6 year old and making a roadstop here.
A:
We were there about two hours which would be the minimum. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the outdoors while the 6 year old runs off some steam! :)
Q:
do they allowed semi truck to park, because my wife wants to visit the place
A:
Yes, we have plenty of pull through parking for semis and RVs.

Hi Michelle, It's really a matter of personal preference. Having raised three kids, my advice would be to show them pictures of each or let them research online and let them choose, that way they have made the choice and the enjoyment factor is in their court. I personally enjoyed the archway more, easy to access, more interesting exhibits. The trains were a little more removed. You are viewing the great scope of the train yards but at a distance. Also, a little more off the beaten path.
