I am sure that the staff will have recommendations. In that area you will find the Watermen's Museum that a youngster will find interesting. Another suggestion would be the American Revolutionary War museum . It has an education element. Ideally these Segway machines could carry a passenger, but I did not find that. Enjoy your visit.
Q:
Is there a weight limit?
A:
I have done 5 different Segway tours around the country and they all have weight limits of around 250 to 275 lbs. I am 300 and have never been asked about my weight.

all of our historical information comes from the park service. We have found that they tell the story of Yorktown very well. our tours start at Riverwalk landing on the waterfront and you will see the Colonial area of Yorktown via Segway. this area is approximately from fusiliers redoubt through Main Street, the water front, and out to the monument and beyond depending on your tour selection. The longer the tour the more ground we are able to cover. I hope this answers your question. sincerely, Randy
