This is a terrific gallery/museum. We particularly enjoyed the galleries focusing on American art. It has a fine collection which is really well displayed and explained. Well worth a visit Full review by BigKevTravels
Hi TPK31- I work at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester NY and your note is certainly understood. We are just finishing up a series of renovations to our Forman, Hawks and Wilson Galleries on the first floor. We now have works on view that include Calder (1935), McElheny (2014), and Nevelson (1975) as well as Sargent (1896) and Cave (2014). The museum's permanent collection of more than 12,000 objects has been called the best balanced in the state outside of metropolitan New York City.
