We saw a sign to the dam and decided to have a look, it’s a great little place to visit. There is a cafe up there where you can get a coffee and hot food.Full review by 78trishm

I recently visited Hinze Dam. We went walking and Kayaking. Where is all the wildlife? whether it be in and around the water or in and around the trees and land. I saw 3 waterbirds and 1 butterfly. Why is there no bbq at picnic area and little seating is it to force visitors to use the very expensive cafe. The other BBQ area is worse it has no view of dam just the rear wall of dam why such a waste of money and what could have been a great day use area also the visitors centre is a waste of a space, can it be fixed so it can be used by more people

i agree with your feedback. we used to enjoy taking friends and vistors to Hinze dam for picnics but no more since they raised the wall and closed off the picnic bbq area facing the water. now one has to have a picnic on a lawn facing the info and cafe or go behind the dam wall. what a view???
