Experience the elegance of the late Victorian period by touring the home of Captain George Flavel. This 1886 Queen Anne home features original Eastlake influenced woodwork, period furnishings, and exotic hardwood fireplace mantels. Begin your tour at the Carriage House Visitor Center (located behind the house on the corner of 7th & Exchange Streets), which houses additional exhibits, the museum store, and orientation video.

What is the cost of tickets to see the Flavel museum?

Not sure but it is worth the price! We were there in December so the grounds were not very pretty but pictures shows the grounds to be beautiful in the spring or summer.
I have COPD and use oxygen. Will I trouble with the stairs; I understand there are 30 steps. Thanks for any reply. Rick

The first floor is very pretty and fun to look at. It had a kitchen, bathroom, music room, sitting room and another sitting room. I think it's worth it to see just the bottom floor. There are two flights of stairs and I'm sure you could use the wide staircase up and down. It's a large house and the wide staircase had 13 to 15 steps and then wound around for another 13 to 15 to get to the 2nd floor. The second floor has three bedrooms and a playroom. Not as interesting as the bottom floor.
I do not know if they are open tomorrow. They only serve tea to cruisers who have signed up for the tea and scones excursion. The museum is open daily but not for tea.
