WEBJan 26, 2017 · Runes are associated heavily with white supremacists and neo-nazis. Hell, I'd suggest the LOTR elvish script over that. As well, rune tattoos are huge red flags to police. I had a friend who had a wrist wrap of runic text and a police officer just flat out asked him what group he belonged to.

For instance, there is no such thing as a rune for Family, Loyalty, Love, Strength, Courage etc. They are letters used for writing, like ABC. Altought younger futhark, the runes that were used by vikings, had the issue of having viewer symbols then sounds so one rune can represent more then one phonetic value. The idea that runes have some deep meaning is modern.
