WEBUltimately, you cannot argue that the final version looks more interesting at the very least. It looks like the artist was heavy handed and that plus the skin being thinner doesn’t help. I have a rose done by a heavy handed artist. It stretches out into the inner arm where it’s thin. That’s where the blowout is.

I had bruising on the edges of the tattoo and it was the traditional “sunburn” sensation of a fresh tattoo but also with muscle tenderness as well.

WEBJan 4, 2013 · Inner arm typically hurts a bit more because the skin is protected by your buddy, where your outer arm is constantly being bumped and molested by things. Tl;dr all tattoos hurt. Some hurt more than others. I just got my first tattoo yesterday, on my inner bicep. It hurt more than I expected, to be honest.

WEBSep 26, 2021 · I do have a pretty high pain tolerance, though. Additionally, there will probably be, at least, a bit of swelling. When I swatted my outer arm after my tattoos were finished, my inner forearm would jiggle a bit (I got each of them a couple years apart). It was gross, but also highly entertaining. Pain is subjective.

WEBMar 20, 2015 · Inner hurts more. At least that is what people say. I have on my inner and it did not hurt much at all for me. The outer forearm is much less painful than the inner forearm, at least for me. Everyone is different though! I think outer hurts more if you go all the way down to the elbow. Both are fine areas tho..

WEBJan 24, 2021 · Upper outer arm is a great spot for a first tattoo. I think the majority of people can withstand the discomfort of a tattoo in that area. I was at a 10/10 level of anxiety before we started. Sat down and felt the needle, and I went to like a 2/10 anxiety. Didn’t feel at all like I thought. All that leftover adrenaline felt like heroin lol.

I got linework done on my inner bicep a little over a week ago and the bruising and swelling lasted a little longer than the outer. You should be fine. If there are no improvements to your healing, seek out a doctor.
